There's a lot of information available for developers on the building of applications using a microservices architecture, but there's not nearly as much information about how to test them.

If you're currently working with microservices, or you will be soon, or you're just plain curious, please join us for this informative presentation. Bring your questions!

OWASP SFL meeting - 1 talk + Discussion + Pizza
Wednesday, May 15th, 2019: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
FAU - Boca Raton

Talk 1: The 5W1H (what, why, where, who, when and how) regarding application of cryptography in protecting digital assets.

Most organizations have tools and platforms to protect critical assets. Some of these assets like data (digital documents, trade secrets, customer data, internal employee data), services they offer (e.g. banking, e commerce), finished product (e.g. software), communication etc. can be protected with the 'appropriate' use of cryptography. This discussion is around some common use cases where we can apply cryptography to improve the security posture. Then there some common pitfalls that should be avoided as it may result in a false sense of security.
