Why Distributed Edge Data is the Future of AI (Oct. 3rd)
Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023: 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
It could be argued that whoever wins the data race will win the AI race, which is inherently built on two premises: 1) Data is available in a central location for AI to have full access to it, 2) Compute is centralized and abundant.

Edge AI though, defies these assumptions. If centralized (or in the cloud) AI is a superpower and super expert, edge AI is a community of many smart wizards. As humans, we can appreciate the power of cumulative knowledge over a central superpower. In this webinar, we will touch on:

  • The value and use cases of distributed edge AI
  • How data fabric on the edge differs from the cloud and its impact on AI
  • Edge device data privacy trade-offs and distributed agency trends
  • Privacy mechanisms for federated learning, inference, and analytics
  • How interoperability between cloud and edge AI can happen

Tuesday, October 10th, 2023: 9:00 to 3:00 PM
Since DevOps first emerged more than a decade ago, developers have been pulled in a million different directions and assumed additional responsibilities-such as testing and vulnerability scanning-and mastered new skills while still building high-quality code quickly. While they've risen to the challenge, the constant juggling begs the question: Are we providing developers with the right tools, training, resources and support they need to increase productivity, avoid burnout and boost job satisfaction?

Instead of shifting left or right, let's pull developers to the center where development, security and operations teams alike can join forces, distribute the workload and restore balance.

InformationWeek: The State of Data Security and Management: Practical Tips for Building Cyber Resilience Strategies for IT and Security Leaders (Oct. 26th)
Thursday, October 26th: 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
Virtual

The majority of IT and Security professionals fear that their cyber strategy isn't enough to combat today's cyber threats. In fact, more than 70% believe it would take over four days to recover from a cyber attack. It's no wonder almost 3 in 4 say their company would pay a ransom to recover data and restore business processes. Of course, when dealing with cybercriminals, there's no guarantee paying a ransom means your data will be recovered-or that if it is recovered, it'll be clean and free of malware.

These are some of the results of the latest annual State of Data Security and Management report. Join this webinar to hear more from our latest annual State of Data Security and Management Survey and about how IT and Security leaders are taking charge against cyber threats in the cloud era.
