Are Your Agentic AI Projects Driving Toward Success?

In these early days of agentic AI adoption, failing fast can cause disproportionate damage considering what's still to be learned and the increasing budgets in play. Maturity can't be rushed, but perspective can come into greater focus.

According to a recent Gartner study, over 40% of enterprise projects with AI agents will be canceled by the end of 2027 due to excessive costs, unclear business value, and increased risks. This reiterates that the adoption of agentic AI in companies must follow a plan with clear vision of application areas and objectives, or it'll end up wasting resources.

Anushree Verma, Gartner senior director analyst, says most agentic AI projects today are early-stage experiments or proofs of concept, fueled primarily by hype and often misapplied.
